  General Notes:

Failing DKM: page 88 and 99.
DKM stated he had no definite data about Henry J R's children but he showed a son b. 1804-10 (perhaps Daniel T.), a daughter b. 1804-10 and a son b. 1810-15(perhaps Christian).

In the 1840 census, the following were in Henry J R Failing's household:
A female 40-50 was probably JR's seond wife, Margaret (The first wife died in 1830.)
Daniel was probably the male age 30-40. A female 20-30 was probably Daniel's wife. Two males under 5 were probably Daniel's, as were one female under 5 and one female 5-9. Christian Failing was next door in 1840, age 30-40, with a wife and two females under 5.

In 1850, Daniel lived next door to Henry J R but did not own any land. Per the latter's will, Daniel was living on his father's land in a separate house.

Will of Henry J R Failing, Montgomery County, vol 10 pp.286-287 references his grand daughters Margaret, Julia Ann, and Mary Ann, daughters of his deceased son Christian.
