Hallock P. Long's Snell Genealogy included a Henry among the children born to Joseph and Magdalena (Timmerman) Snell. Long did not provide any further details about Henry, and his source has since been lost. Martin and Sidenius accepted Long's list of children in their two books.
Linda Benzin has reason to believe that her ancestor, Henry Snell of Newstead, Erie Co., NY, is that same Henry. (Newstead is close to Akron.)The 1855 Newstead census shows her Henry (age 32, born in Orleans Co., and his wife Huldah) living very close to other children of Joseph & Magdalena. Magdalena also was living with one of her children in Newstead in 1855.
While the census data is not proof that Henry of Newstead is the son of Joseph and Magdalena, I have tentatively added him and his descendants (Linda Benzin's pedigree) to the SZT pedigree. Linda continues to search for documents in the Newstead area that will prove this relationship.
Anyone with information that could tie Henry Snell of Newstead, Erie, NY (h/o of Huldah Cummings) to Joseph Snell and Magdalena Snell, should contact Linda Benzin or myself.
The first seven children of Henry and Huldah in this database are based on their ages in the 1855 census. Linda has found evidence of two additional children which are also included.

I agree with Linda. The 1850 census also shows Henry and Huldah living very close to Henry's sibling and their wives and children as we have on our database.
